I received Volume 50 of the Times annual Sunday X words only today. But without opening the cover I can say they will be the best - challenging, and sometimes maddening, and filled with clever definitions and humor. I've been doing these puzzles since Eugene Maleska's day, but Will Shortz gets my vote for editor. Best of all, the book is ring bound. it makes a terrific stocking stuffer.
