No One Is Really Beautiful

by Jude
Jude graduated from college with a philosophy degree -- a usual surefire sign that his pop music would come loaded with cerebral sentiment. Anyone who has listened to their share of Jude's labelmate, Alanis Morissette, knows that dimestore philosophy can be a stumbling block, with self-important lyrics often

I've had this album for a few years now, and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. I can't (and don't) say that for many albums. The lyrics are pregnant with meaning, and sometimes I find myself thinking in "Jude metaphors" because they are catchy and a lot of times extremely fitting. Vocally, Jude has an incredibly wide range with an enchanting falsetto. Each song is unique, so it doesn't feel like you're listening to the same song over and over again. This album will appeal to people who appreciate talented musicians and clever lyrics.

This is a fantastic album! The lyrics are intense and moving. Jude knows how to write music that makes you FEEL it, not just HEAR it. Be sure to check out his new album, King of Yesterday, due out Sept. 11, 2001.
