Now I am on the Nook HD. This tablet is the best for the money I spent. Barnes and Noble has made a mistake in it's marketing, though. They never showcased the Bluetooth connectivity! That is the best fataure, and I had no idea that the 7inch Tablet had it. Imagine my surprise when I was able to connect my bluetooth keyboard to the device with ease!
I've been able to chat with my friends using great Apps, and update Evernote anywhere I go easily, and quickly. This is the best product Barnes and Noble has come out with. It's an amazing little tablet for the money. Thank you, Barnes and Noble, for making such a quality product. Your loyal Barnes and Noble customer, Heather

Some are B&N website problems, I assume, not specifically Nook problems, but the competition has better solutions across the board.
a) The reader has refused 3 times to page forward, and once it refused to page forward OR back.
Paging is the SIMPLEST thing a reader should do, and it's disgraceful for Nook to fail at it.
b) The best font size I can find (third from right) is too small to avoid eye-strain.
c) The next size up is FAR TOO BIG.
d) Most of the font size choices are useless to any imaginable human being.
e) This text box on the website doesn't even work properly … since it doesn't allow carriage returns half the time.
f) Shopping is difficult because I can't focus a search on, for instance, apps until AFTER I've entered the search.
That means the website has to exhaustively search for "image comics" across all product types, THEN I can filter it to apps, and THEN I find that there are none.
That's backwards for me as a user, and backwards for B&N in terms of efficient searches.
g) When looking at "Nook recommendations", I can't mark those I already own or have no interest in.
Hence, it will take a long time for B&N to determine what I like … and that's very important.
Why didn't I see reviews like this before I bought the product, I wonder?
Will this review see the light of day?

I've been a part of the Barnes and Noble Nook family since the very first Nook was released. I started out with the Nook WiFi. Within a year and a half, I upgraded to the NookColor. The Nook Color was a new reading experience. And honestly, after the Nook Tablet came out, I was a little disappointed. It wasn't the best experience.
Now I am on the Nook HD. This tablet is the best for the money I spent. Barnes and Noble has made a mistake in it's marketing, though. They never showcased the Bluetooth connectivity! The Nook HD is the best Nook out there, the best e-reader out there actually. I have had every Nook, beginning with the first gen - except the Simple Touch, (however I just purchased one of those for my grandmother for Christmas this year) so I can, honestly say, I have had every single Nook in my possession and used every one at one time or another. I HATED the Tablet. It was heavy, unwieldy, I had it replaced twice because it would not hold a battery charge for three hours.
That said - I decided it was time to upgrade, since I had the Tablet and was so unhappy. It was between the iPad Mini and the Nook HD - I got the Nook HD (not the plus, I wanted it to be the correct size for in my purse) I went to the store and got it the week they came out. I was very pleasantly surprised!.I love it. I can't find anything wrong with it.
It is a bit of a new design, there will be a learning curve, but don't let that scare you off. I wouldn't trade mine for anything that is out there right now. The screen is beautiful, the size is perfect, the features are fresh and fun. This would make an amazing Christmas gift for your loved one that enjoys reading, browsing the net, looking through magazines, playing video games or even watching TV and movies!
My recommendation is too take a look at it in the store. See for yourself, feel it, play with it. You won't be disappointed.204 out of 207 people found this review helpful.

I am a previous Nook Color owner and decided to give that one to my sister and buy myself the Nook HD and it was the best investment I've made.
The Nook HD is so much better and an awesome upgrade to the other previous Nook editions. The screen is much clearer and crisp. The touch now responds right away (where as the Nook Color sometimes took 2 or 3 tries for the touch to respond). The Nook HD is much lighter than the Nook Color and Nook Tablet and so it goes everywhere with me. It is much faster and doesn't lag or take forever to respond. It is also much more fun to use.
I think Barnes and Noble did such a wonderful job and I honestly haven't found anything that I don't like about my Nook. While I enjoyed my Nook Color and its flaws didn't bother me all that much (the sometimes unresponsive touch being one of them), I am absolutely unconditionally and irrevocably in love with my Nook HD. If you are an avid reader but sometimes enjoys browsing the internet or playing a few games or watching a few videos, this is definitely the tablet for you!149 out of 151 people found this review helpful.

Nook HD
This is just a short & sweet review. I am loving my Nook HD. I like the screen clarity and how lightweight it is. I use it primarily for reading and just a few apps. May use it for video every now and then. I am finding it very easy to use as well as managing My Nook page on-line. No issues or problems - it just works! It is much better experience compared to my over-rated Kindle Fire (which is now for sale). Thank you B & N!

The Nook HD is my third edition of Nook. It gets better each time a new one comes out. I especially love the Nook HD because it is so much lighter that the others.
I am having a couple of issues though. When I set up Shelves, they don't stay. They just disappear. I don't know if it is something I am doing or if there is an issue. Also, when I set a bookmark on the Web, it isn't saved either. The main issue is with Adobe Digital Editions. The Nook HD is not recognized by my Adobe Digital Editions software. I tried transferring a library book manually from my desktop to the Nook HD but when I try to open it, it says it is not recognized. I have called Support and gone in the store to speak to someone personally. Everyone was super nice, but the issues are still unresolved. I hope an update will be out soon to resolve these issues.76 out of 83 people found this review helpful.

The Nook is the best e-reader. It is far superior to the Kindle. I have used both formats and have a strong preference for the Nook. The Kindle's screen is nice, just as the screen of the Nook HD. But, the Nook's interface is much more intuitive and much easier to use than that of the Kindle HD. The Nook HD, just like the Nook Color have a beautiful screen that is easy on the eyes when you are reading a book.

Nook HD is no doubt a great product in the market today. It's high resolution picture quality makes reading more enjoyable. Nook HD supports many Flash player video clips except videos in CNN website. I also like Nook's ability to connect with a TV via HDMI output. It's light and very professional looking. Battery life is also very good. One drawback I see is that still there are not that much free Apps available. Yet applications like HULU, Netflix, Pandora, and Dropbox freely available. Also the ability to have expandable memory upto 32 GB is great. I bought 8 GB HD and then added 16GB for $8.

I enjoy this Nook, because I use it as an e-reader...not a typical tablet that I can watch movies on or play games on. For those who want those features, perhaps buying an iPad, Playbook, or MotorZoom would be better. My library is extensive and the Nook HD gives me excellent memory storage.
When I need to look up a word, its easy to jump on the internet then return to my book. Rate this e-reader as it is, an e-reader. It is not ment to replace the iPad and its exceptional performance. I'm an avid reader and I love my Nook.54 out of 56 people found this review helpful.

I love the new Nook Tablet HD! I have had the first generation Nook for over 2 and a half years now, and have been wanting the new tablet for a while. I love how clear the words are and how long the battery life is! The glow screen is amazing for reading at night too! It's very easy to use and has so many features!

This is the best portable media product I've ever seen or used.
This is the best portable media product I've ever seen or used. NOOK HD is super-light, my kid's movies look incredibly sharp, and the few magazines I subscribe to on it are beautiful. I also like the fast web browsing and keeping into touch (I did an easy set-up that pushes all my email to it).
Every now and then you come across a product that over-delivers, and my experience with NOOK HD has been wonderful so far. Only complaint is that I wish they would have had SD cards at my B&N store where I bought it. The HD movie files are big and take up a good chuck of the available memory when I load them.36 out of 41 people found this review helpful.

I am going to keep this review simple. The Nook HD is the best.
I am going to keep this review simple. The Nook HD is the best. I'm 15 years old got this for Christmas and I am in love with it. Everything looks clear and stunning. It is so easy to type on the keyboard which I am using to write this review. Yep the internet is very fast, faster then my laptop sometimes lol. The tablet doesn't have a facebook and tumblr app but thats ok because I can just get on the web and use both facebook and tumblr at ease. Everything is FAST. They offer so many GREAT free books and on the Nook blog they have free book fridays and the book is only free that Friday so get it that day. Last Friday the book was from Notting Hill to Love Actually. It was free that Friday now its $5! And the friday before that the book was called Sweet Venom and its now $10 and you could get it free! Anyways the tablet is very light and I love the design. Thanks for the gift Mom and Dad.

I bought the Nook Original V1 about a year after they came out. I had been waiting for a good E-reader for years and it had finally arrived. I had no trouble whatever with mine. Then, I finally decided that I wanted a reader that did more and had color. The Nook HD is all that and more. It is almost exactly the same size as the original and it fits the protective cover I bought for the original. There is one thing I do wish B&N would do though. Throw in a USB WIFI plugin. You can't do a thing with your Nook HD until you register it and that takes a WIFI connection of some kind. I got lucky and my wireless router managed to do the trick. Old people who no longer drive, [me] might have a problem if they live miles from town, [me] and don't have a router. B&N, can you take a hint?

I was going to get an IPAD but didn't want to spend that amount of money. After some research I decided to get the Nook HD. I am very happy with it. The setup was easy. I can copy files from my laptop to
the nook by drag and drop so that is very easy. The quality of the screen is exceptional. I do not regret this purchase.7 out of 7 people found this review helpful.

I love my Nook Color!! I had a Kindle but this is far superior. I can't keep my grandchildren off of it and they keep asking for one too. My husband keep saying he likes REAL books, but keeps stealing my Nook to play crossword puzzles. I recently took a long 3 week trip to Australia/New Zealand and the Nook was my constant companion. It travels well , was small enough to slip into my carry on bag, and the screen was well lit for evening reading.

The Nook HD 7" Tablet represents the very best tablet curre
The Nook HD 7" Tablet represents the very best tablet currently available on the market and here is why: Yes it is true that the Nook HD lacks a camera, a micro USB port, and 3G or 4G connectivity, but (a very very big but) those features don't mean squat when compared to what you get in this awesome product. First : The Nook HD is small, lightweight, durable, fun, easy to use, and best of all costs less than half of what you would pay for other like models. Second: The Nook HD has a razor sharp screen. Market Product Testers have discovered that when they compare the Nook HD screen and video playback with other models the Nook HD is by far the best HD Screen for any 7" tablet. Third: Nook HD has gone Android. A recent Barnes and Noble Nook HD update shocked the market when it was announced that Barnes and Noble was pairing up with Google. Now Nook HD users have unfettered access to Google Play and the infinite number of applications available for purchase. Fourth: new WiFi and Bluetooth products like a WiFi WebCam, or a Bluetooth Keyboard can kick this Nook HD into overdrive. Five: Nook HD has built in microphones! Using the Andoid app like ListNotes, or Dragon and you can turn your Nook HD into an instant dictation machine that recognizes speech and instantly converts it into editable text. Sixth: The Nook is a mini Art Pad. Another shock to the market was how awesome the Nook HD worked as a Digital Art Pad. Using Android Apps by Autodesk, Adobe and etc… and what you have is a portable digital canvas that Artists can use to create masterpieces on the fly anywhere. The Nook HD is also a photo editor! Android Photo Editing Apps like PicSay, give users the ability to creatively edit their photos. Seventh: The Nook HD can easily connect via WiFi with online drive services like Google Drive, Microsoft Skydrive, Dropbox, Box, and etc… thus allowing the user instant access to all of their documents, photos, music and videos. Eighth: The Nook HD is a music player so while you cruise the Internet you can also Rock out listening to your favorite music. Add all that up together and what you have is an insanely powerful minicomputer starting at $200.

I was a very happy owner of a Nook Tablet. I really loved the device, how usable and versatile it was. Don't get me wrong, I love my e-Ink reader as well, but my Nook Tablet allowed me easy access to my books as well as a decent web browser and a wonderful Netflix device.
When I saw the Nook HD demoed at our Bookland, I was very impressed at how nice the interface and screen were, so after scrounging up my giftcards from Christmas I had a big chuck of the cost to upgrade so away I went. I've not yet regretted switching. I very much enjoy reading on the device, and the browser is light years better than the browser on the Tablet.
My only negative comment wouldn't even be about the device, but about the covers. I absolutely loved the Nook Easel style cover that I had with my Tablet, and I would love for someone to make one available for the HD. I like the fold back stand covers, but I honestly spend much more time reading at tables or desks and much prefer the portrait orientation rather than the landscape.
Still, I don't think that you can really go wrong by upgrading from either the Color or the Tablet. Now off to read!5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
