This free, short story is about 45 pages long. It is a prequal to a series, but has a decent ending. There is some humor in the book. Some parts were a little gross, but the grossness was not related to gore. The heroine is a nurse, who helps her father with his private investigation business. Mercy's aunt, is a nun, everyone is scared of, and when she says jump, everyone jumps. Sometimes, the action is a little far fetched. The plot was good and the bad guy, hmmm, or was it a gal? Is a really bad seed. There is a murder, drugs, prostitution, child porn, and a few other adult themes. I enjoyed this fast read and look forward to a full length book. For readers, 18 and older. AD
