This book is outstanding. I bought it during my pre-conception phase, when my husband and I were changing our diet and exercise plans to be in optimal shape for conceiving. The book is very thorough. It explains what foods are safe and what isn't, tells you how much you need each day of what, and provides an entire month's worth of daily menus that include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. It also provides recipes for the items in the sample menus, every recipe I have made has been absolutely delicious and even received rave reviews from my junk-food loving husband. We are both very pleased. I would HIGHLY recommmend this book to any couple who is expecting or planning to get pregnant.

This book has been very helpful to me in my first pregnancy. I did not follow the entire baby-wise diet because it was a bit overwhelming to plan EVERY meal, but the rest of the book served as a great reference tool. If you're looking for a resource to help when you're not sure what to eat or what NOT to eat, you'll find the book very helpful.
