Piers Anthony is mostly known for his light fantasy series 'Xanth', but his real strength is creating science fiction with aliens that are both believable and NOT HUMAN. (Have you noticed that most SF aliens are either monsters or basically human?) This book is a very interestingly written and thought-provoking Sci-Fi novel. It's almost laid out like a mystery, with the story being revealed piece by piece. Excellent.
