This book is a wonderful read! It's a suspenseful journey for the author, young Farah, who is only in her teens, and who has agreed to share her long eventful immigration from Afganistan to the United States, with her unwilling mother, after her family was killed at their compound in Kabul. I highly recommend it also to teen readers, who will learn how difficult life can be in other cultures, especially during trying times, such as the Taliban invasion.
