Anyone who has an inquisitve and a 'need to know' mindset will definitely find this compilation of origins an informative and entertaining read. I love it so much I am making it part of my curriculum for my class. The potential it lends itself to the classroom is boundless!

I really enjoyed this book and have learned the origins of many products and items, such as the vaccuum cleaner, and such. I've been sharing a lot of what I've learned with friends and associates who find it just as interesting!

A great book uncovering the beginnings of the things around us and explains why we do and say and believe the things we haven't a clue where they came from! Good research- Embellished somewhat? Hard to say but makes for good conversation with others and starts the search on subjects very important to some of us readers.
