Well, this wasnt the best book I have ever read, but it was sure the best Robin Hood book that i have ever read! David B Coe is a very good story teller, and he managed to do a good job of making the movie into a book. The scenes weren't as powerful as they could have been but it was still good. Would i keep it for a permanent library? ..Meh, if your a Robin Hood fan like me, yes, but if you just picked this up off the self at BnN, you may want to consider getting it from the Library, but thats up to you. Be sure to remember though, this isn't David's best book! He has three other series out that i noticed from the inside of Robin Hood. Currently i am halfway thru his first book ever that he wrote in the '90s, The Children of Amarid. So far its pretty spectacular so if you enjoyed this, and maybe even if you didn't, i'd recommened at least trying out his other books! Enjoy!!!

After watching the 2010 film, I was pleasantly surprised to find this novelization. Despite what some have said, I appreciated the fact that Robin was older and a bit jaded. In my opinion, it made the character more credible than the usual youthful portrayal, which seems to me like an impetuous boy playing hero. The plot was a far cry from the original tale, but I enjoyed it.
