I usually enjoy Georgette Heyer and have read 2 other 'historical' novels by her (Simon the Coldheart & Beauvallet) which I really enjoyed. Not so with this book. If Charles Stuart was anything like the book portrays, you may find yourself wishing that he'd stayed in France!
