I didn't know how to sail, and all i had was a boat. I bought this book and in just a few short weeks, I taught myself to sail. I was even out on the water sailing on the first day. This book is a must have for anyone who wants to learn how to sail without having to pay for expensive lessons.

This book provides excellent fundamentals for beginners, with some good reminders for experienced sailors, from terms and basic boat handling to instructing the crew and basic knots. Recommended.
