If you have ever struggled with food or weight issues and given up hope that things will ever change or get better, you have to read this. This book will empower you will all the tools and skills you need. Tennie McCarty is an insightful and wonderfully funny person. What she and her family/staff do at Shades of Hope is truly life-changing. This has truly changed mine forever.

This is an incredible book. I was floored by the raw truth, not only from the clients but from Tennie herself. The exercises are designed to compliment therapy work. A meal plan is included. The idea of treating food and the compulsion that drives us to 'bad' foods and to overeating as an addiction is an amazing idea. Really enjoyed this book.
