I disagree with the previous reviewer. I enjoyed this book and plan to read the entire series. It is not a thriller so if that is the style of book you want, this book isn't for you. It is more of a who-done-it with very interesting characters and a complex plot.

I decided to change the style of novel that i usually read, by picking up The silence of the rain. I Found the book, slow, and difficult to get into properly. Although some parts keep you hooked i personally found that in general it wasnt all that brilliant. And i certainly could say it was easy to put down. I also found that reading too much at a time, left me lethargic and bored. The plot skips about, and it takes a person with a lot of free time on their hands and dedication and commitment to the book to fully enjoy it. Im afraid to say i will be sticking to my bridget-jones style magazine author books. Out of ten the Suilence oif the rain would score a dissappointing 5/10//
