Who knew a trip back to her childhood home to relax and recoup would have Katherine feeling up a stranger and begging for "welcome sex". Sounds like fun to me and made for a tension filled and sexually charged opening to Amy Redwood's Sinful Intentions. I don't know any woman who doesn't love a self confident alpha male and Ms. Redwood created a prime example in the form of Trent McGregor. He's commanding, determined and knows how to bring a woman to her knees.in more ways than one I might add! Lest I forget, he also just happens to be a werewolf shifter! A perfect antithesis to a cocky (pun intended) male is a woman scorned. Katherine Miles is no shrinking violet. When she finds out her fiancé has roaming eyes as well as an affinity for strippers, Katherine skips out on both him and the wedding. Nothing takes a girl's mind off of a two-timing creep like a little revenge sex. or a lot. I had so much fun reading Sinful Intentions. The dialogue is smooth and witty. The characters are well developed and interesting as is the plot and New Zealand setting. There is a lot going on in this short story with a couple twists I didn't see coming. Both Trent and Katherine are a little commitment shy but their shared angst works well in building the tension, working thru their growth as individuals and a couple and in leading to an ultimately explosive HEA. This wasn't Ms. Redwood's first foray into the world of shifters and after reading Sinful Intentions this reviewer will be adding several new books to her TBR list. originally posted at: whippedcream2.blogspot.com

Katherine sees the cheating ways of her fiance and decides to hop a plane to Auckland. When she arrives, she is tired, and wants to get to her hotel but runs into a handsome stranger while arguing over a cab. Trent likes to get a rise out of her, but there is sexual chemistry from the first words spoken between them. What Katherine doesn't know is Trent is a wolf and he is taking the summer off for a few last flings before he intends to find his perfect mate. They stop fighting the chemistry and keep acting on it, having the most amazing sex they both ever had . At first it was revenge sex for Katherine, but after the first time, it was because it felt so right. Trent cant understand why he is so attracted to her. Then one fateful day, after some really hot sex on the beach, he understands why. Amy Redwood is an author I hadn't read before. I have a feeling I am definitely going to be looking into more of her work. Katherine and Trent were so steamy at times between their urge to get rises out of each other, to the steaming up the sheets. Or in this case a truck, sand, bed, even a wall (oh my!) Both characters had a personality all of their own. There were times I didn't want to put the book down I wanted the next smart remark and definitely the next steamy sex scene. I will say this, if your not one for liking a lot of sex in your books, then this isn't for you. Amy Redwood has gained another fan of her work in me, and I enjoyed this book.
