As a teen I liked the exotic animals and places. Okay the fighting and heroic stuff too. Now I enjoyed it some 30 years later for the duty and honor it brings out. Never was big on the sex stuff. Too young to care before, to old to care now.

The book could be reduced to less than 1/3 its size by merely eliminating all the repetitions. I felt I was re-reading the same paragraph multiple times. Also, I've seen better literary talent come from the minds of mentally handicapped fifth graders. John Norman comes across as though he was attempting to sound intelligent in his writing, but succeeded only in sounding like a moron with no idea of proper use of the English language. Books are a great treasure, but this Gorean series needs to be burned in its entirety as the insult it is to all other literature. The story could be decent if it were written by someone with actual talent, but as is, the author should never have been allowed to put pen to paper.
