Slug: The Reluctant Butterfly

4.5 4
by Steve Copland

Slug wants to fly, but the idea of being 'born again' as a butterfly frightens him. Like many other caterpillers, he wants to live his way. He is deceived into going to the center of the tree where disobedient caterpillers indulge in worldly activities.

Grunt, a crow, is flying with a gang. He wants to be accepted and look cool. The gang hunt foolish

A wonderful story for children. Some very moving parts which help kids to understand grace, forgiveness and salvation. Especially enjoyed the way the author showed how difficult it can be to accept God's forgiveness, and the analogies he uses to explain so beautifully what it means to be born again.
