The word "Snark" grabbed my immediate attention. It's defined as: biting wit, a smartass remark, a slyly disparaging comment, a bastardization of "snide remark." (Preface, p. ix) This is a book you might pick up as a gift, only to discover that you MUST have a copy for yourself! From numerous sources, Dorfman has brought together a rollicking collection of anecdotes and observations guaranteed to generate laugh-out-loud responses. Its fourteen sections cover the gamut of life's experiences, from Sex to Death and Dying, as credited to numerous pundits or to no one at all. An appendix gives the reader a boost toward becoming an accomplished snarker and includes some great answering machine messages. If you believe laughter is the best medicine, The Snark Handbook is the ultimate first-aid kit!

Besides the current snarky comments which make me laugh and chuckle for hours are the historic references. Who knew people have always been so uniquely and subtly humorous all this time..Yeats and Henny Youngman on the same page!! Who knew. thank you for brightening days when I just needed a good laugh Larry.. and I really care! That younger person inside me really is wondering ..what happened.
