When a kindly neighbor gave the boys some money to spend, they went straight to the bakery to buy some gingerbread--and they fell into the batter! Now Snipp, Snapp, and Snurr looked just like three gingerbread boys who had come to life.

If you are closr to 60, or older, you may remember reading these stories as a child. A friend asked me if I remembered stories about three girls in a Scandinavian country who went ice skating. I had a vague memory of such a story, but, as I thought and thought, finally these names came to me: Snipp, Snapp, and Snurr. I remembered the stories as enjoyable to read when I was in primary grades. It is even possible that the stories were included in our school readers. That night I logged onto Barnes & Noble, and there they were! I didn't order every title, as my income is limited, but I did order at least four or five, and had them sent to my friend's home address. She was delighted when she received them, and B&N also has the books about the three girls (by Maj Lindman). A sweet journey back in time!
