I finished reading this book three weeks ago and there are sentences that still stay with me. I believed in the characters and got a very different glimpse into a world I know so little of.
This book is inventive, and the stories of the two protagonists are lovely. The author does memorable riffs on science,culture and religion. But does NO ONE do lowly proofreading any more? The loss of the lie/lay distinction is uncouth.
