This book has changed every aspect of my life in a trememdous way! I'm always skeptical about "Self Improvement" books because I find that a lot of them tell me things I already know. Tommy Newberry completely surprised me with his approach to changing our lives and doing it GOD's way! This book not only speaks to your mind, heart, and soul but also enable you to work hands-on with the writing and thinking activities throughout every chapter. A problem I have with most books is that they're steadily talking to you which makes it easier to get bored as the reader. I'm not slow by a long shot but the activities and the way each chapter is divided into smaller subsections made reading this book a lot more exciting and allow the reader to not only take notes but meditate on what you've just read (which you'll be doing a lot of). T. Newberry ask a lot of questions that can only be answered by doing some deep self-evaluating which you'll find yourself doing almost every paragraph! Again, this is not just a book but a life coach in your hands who's not only giving guidance to a greater life you desire but a life God desires you to have as His child! Don't believe T. Newberry? T. Newberry actual quotes bible verses to help the reader realize that God DESIRES you to succeed in life...even greater than you desire for yourself! I believe God allowed me to stumble upon this book on the shelf because I was at a point in my life where I was tired of settling for whatever life was throwing at me. It was killing me to consistently live an "average" life in my dealings with my professional, personal, and financial life. You know that feeling that you get when you KNOW the life you're living now is not God's destination for you...there has to be more to life than going to work, home, sleep everyday. God wants you to ENJOY life to the MAX. You shouldn't dread every Monday morning. God does not want us to live paycheck to paycheck. You really think God wants that for us?? There's a reason why the majority of people SETTLE for the life they're living now. Have you ever stood outside and looked around at the majority of people who look like they're just going through the motions in life and/or struggling their whole life to make ends meet? They accept life's consequences instead of making the right choices to maintain control over the kind of life they desire. They have become complacent. There's a reason why the MINORITY of our population is considered successful and actually manages the MAJORITY. If you're reading this review it's because God has placed tension in your heart to do MORE than what life has given you. You feel there's more to life than what you're doing now. You're right! And this book will guide that passion and motivation...along with prayer and seeking God's direction so that you can live life and "live it more abundantly!"

I usually don't read self-help books but I absolutely love this one. It's interactive and I enjoyed going through the questions at the end of each chapter. I plan on reading it again. Also, it didn't hurt that it was a Nook Free Friday selection through spec.
