Sunrise Over Sea

5.0 2
by John Butler Trio

Like fellow Southern Hemisphere native Dave Matthews, the frontman of this eponymous trio seems so immersed in the music he makes that it's a safe bet that he'd wither if uprooted from it. The dreadlocked Butler cuts a wide swath through the sonic universe, scatting like a jazzbo one moment and uncoiling a Duane Allman–ish slide

This is one of the best albums that will be released this year in the U.S. I bought this album when it was released in Australlia a couple of months ago and I have been a fan of the band for several years now. This album shows JBT in top form. With the help of Nicky Bomba this album is absolutley amazing. JBT has been one of the top acts in Australlia for the past few years and it is no wonder why. The instrumentation is flawless and the songs have just the right amount of political kick. John Butler plays with an energy, intensity, and concienceness that is rare today.

attention all acoustic guitar lovers and players. This trio is astounding. Butler's finger picking and slide guitar style are flawless and ridiculusly good. This is one of the best CDs i have ever bought, and yes i own led zeppelin 4. Simply, a must have.
