Loved it as a teenage. Now, it just seems hacky.

Call for the Legion of the Dawn! Book 3 of the increasingly enjoyable Hawkmoon series. This picks up directly after the cliffhanger ending of "The Mad God's Amulet". These books are like an episodic TV series, you MUST start at the beginning. These editions are nice, they feature fantastic cover art and sporadic ink illustrations throughout. Since each story is only 200 pages they could've easily bound these together into an impressive 600 page epic. But pay it no mind, this is a great tale being told here.
