A follow up to Uncle Montague's Tales of Terror, this is another creepy middle grade story collection with a chilling frame. This time, the stories are all tales of the sea: pirates and plagues and storms a plenty...

Great simple and creepy kids stories. Reminiscent of "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" from the 80's (when I was a kid) and kinda like the Goosebumps RL Stein series. Great fun to read aloud to your kids (mine are 10 & 14 and after the initial reluctance in sitting quietly and listening to the old man they actually enjoyed them and begged me to continue after a hearing couple of them!) My next purchase will be the Black Tunnel stories, same author.
