After more than a year of grieving the loss of her late husband, a beautiful young widow, Jessica Branson, feels the time has come for her to move on with her life. She just wants to feel like a woman again. She wants to be held and loved, and made love to.

I thought it was a good story myself; but to each his own. C'mon people, it was ninety-nine cents, not ninety-nine dollars, give me a break! (eye roll at those of you who actually took time out of your lives to feel it was your duty to post a bad review) It had romance, conflict, sexy male characters (especially the scum-bag - Will), a jealous/deceased husband, and a good solid story line. It had twists that you didn't expect, and the ending took me for a loop; I wasn't expecting that at all, but it made me smile. Again, I liked it; just sayin'; and I'm sure other have and will too.

I thought this was a very good story and well worth the buck I spent for it. It really kills me when people pay less than a $1.00 for a book and then they want to give it a bad review! Gesh people, get a life! How many books have you written? Why bash the dreams of someone for a buck?!? You must be the same people that tell your kids how badly they played in the last ball game, or tell your grandmother that her cooking is bad; yeah, you who you are! I give this author two thumbs-up just for the courage to put herself out there. I have read her other books and found them to be very good as well. It's a bit obvious that she is not a professional, but she tells a good story. Cheers to you, Ms. Watkins! I'm looking forward to reading more from you! And I loved your charactors in this book. I easily pictured each and every one of them. Very good! Mimi L. - Tampa, Fl.

Ok, so I know one thing.. I seriously need to stop reading Sandee Watkins' books at 10:00 at night when it's my bedtime. I start to read and just can't put it down..lol I read The Back-up last night, all of it... I LOVED this one also!!! I have noticed that in the two books I've read so far, the story just brings you into it and it's like you're there. This story was so cool. I like paranormal and love stories. Both together was a great combination. I liked the reference to her first book "From Afar" (though I haven't read that one just yet) that was cool. The character Will/Alex was a hoot and I soooo Loved the one that gave her away; that was like icing on the cake. I am on to "The Bandit" but I think I will save that for Friday night. I really need to get some sleep tonight and I know if I start reading I won't put it down. This one is definitely a recommended read especially if you like paranormal. Can't wait to read the next one!!!!!!! Karen H. - Orlando, FL

A really dumb book!!

This book has a great premise but the actual result is stilted with slow character development, flimsy supernatural component then, ugh, I had to stop reading. The love scene was written with a thesaurus close at hand. Sorry, but don' t waste your money.
