Genny Austin, tormented by nightmares of a past she can't recall; Jack Brennan's nightmares are today, his business under siege, his life threatened. Brought together on a Santa Barbara beach, Jack looking for a one-night stand, Genny not that kind of girl. One of my favorite authors; one of her best books and with this author, that's really saying something! This book was my 1st read by Kat Martin and I have been in awe of her talent ever since then. I have re-read it countless times and it has an honored place on my favorites shelf. This book has it all: a past life murder mystery, and the current unsolved death of the heroine's husband, along with the excitement of a steamy romance that transcends time. Get it. Read it. You'll love it.

I love Cat Martin Books... That said this is so different from any of her others... Genny's husband was murdered two years ago and immediately thereafter she started having horrific dreams... She meets Jack who is her total opposite... Genny is an assistant librarian... Jack and his partner Charley own (about to lose to foreclosure) a large salvage boat... In spite of their differences they are drawn to each other and enter an affair... Enter bad guy Howard (partner in business with her late husband)... Since this book is 1,000+ Nook pages I can't offer much of a review... Suffice it to say that if you believe in dreams, reincarnation and those sorts of things this is a book for you... While it is not the kind of book I would normally read I was drawn into it and read it in three sittings... I loved Jack and understood him from the beginning... I liked Genny but there were so many times I wanted to shake her and yet I felt her pain... Although long the story never dragged and the supporting characters were very well done and fit beautifully into the story...
