The action didn't really start till page 147 or so. I read another 100 or so pages and then realized the book is over 800 pages long. The premise is fine and intriguing but the book could use some editing to streamline the story, cut out unessential details that bog the book down, and quicken the pace of the action. I would have finished it if it was 300 pages long; I think I could have handled it at 400 pages but no way at 800.

An interesting take on a story full of church political intrique and the depths to which the church will go to save faith by surpressing scientific facts and the poor guy stuck in the middle. Not my usual type of book but pretty well written and i will read more by the author

Why must you go for the anti christian view? This book seems highly insulting.
