The Guild of the Fallen Clowns has the makings of a future cult movie. Read it, and I'm sure you'll agree. Francis has provided a unique look into a new clown subworld. As I read, I can imagine what the clowns will look like on the big screen. Francis writes a lot like Michael Crichton, and the flow of the book reminds me of the Prey, and Sphere. All these books engage the reader early, and take some twists and turns. The middle of all these books are a little slow, but work through them, as the end picks up. To this end, I think Francis engages the reader quickly and early, and the ending leaves you expecting a sequel.

So different from the run of tje mill. There was a depth to the characters and they were easily identifiable. Scary, creepy, humorous and a bit of a love story. The author left out nothing. Move over Srephen King!
