A desperate mother. A scarred man. A powerful bond…

The moment he saw Blythe Daphne on the television news, Lucas Kenyon knew three things: she was a shapeshifter, like him. She was the most desirable creature he had ever seen. And she was in terrible danger.

Now, the wolf in Lucas is driving him to save Blythe and her young daughter

Disappointing. I’ve been addicted to Paranormal Romance books for a while now – specifically anything to do with werewolves or shifters. When this book came up as a review possibility, I jumped at the chance. Romance? YES! Shifters? YES! Damaged man the female lead needs to fix? YES! YES! YES! Unfortunately, this book didn’t live up to my expectations. From the beginning, Lucas’ “oh poor me, I was bad, I deserve to suffer” attitude really grated at me. Then the carelessness of the main character came into play. Daughter kidnapped, tortured, had to risk your life to get her back? Sure leave her sleeping in the living room while you go to bed in a back bedroom. Sounds reasonable. Or not. This was a quick read, but I had to push myself to finish it. I found the writing repetitive, the plot unbelievable and lacking, and the romance forced. I give this one 2 stars.
