I've been a studying witch for over three and a half years now, but I've always been forced to be solitary. I'd begun to worry that I'd never truly understand the deeper side of the Craft. I'd read many other books (I own probably over a half-dozen other titles) and none of them really spoke to my soul. None of them explained why to do things, they just said to do them, and none of them have truly managed to take me deeper into the Craft. When reading Penczak's words, I truly feel like he means them, and it's almost as though he is right there with me, guiding me and coaching me. He puts much of himself onto the page, and it is very personable reading. He explains everything very well, but not too much that you lose interest. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I do! And Blessed Be!

This is my new bible. It is complete and very useful. My coven have put to use a lot of the things already. This book is helping me rediscover my second grade spirituality, which is my current goal. ^^

I've wish this book had been available when I first started practicing the Craft many years ago. It is the most complete volume I have found explaining not just the how, but also the why of ritual circles and spellcraft. Even better, is the author's excellent command of language that does not send one to sleep as many others on this topic can. The encouraging tone and completness of the book keep the reader and practioner thinking forward eagerly about the next lesson.

This book is quite powerful. It's a valuable resource for anyone who is already on a spiritual/magical path. I wouldn't recommend this to a novice. The information is vast. It give tips for many different paths. If a reader doesn't know where their talents and interests are, this will be overwhelming or counterproductive. This gave me additional knowledge of the elements, tools of the craft, sacred space/circles, Spirits, Angels, and Gods. Helped me attune beliefs and archetypes to reach out to the Higher Powers. Old prejudices were overcome, and my mind opened. I'd journeyed to the elemental gateways many times. I'd drawn energy from the Gates, but nothing more. After reading this the Guardians finally manifested. Granting me access to the Elemental Realms. The only complaint I have is with Christopher Penczak. The way he interprets magical beliefs and history is clearly Wiccan, not Witchcraft.
