Overview

The Song of the Hummingbird is a story of four women who are victimized by a corrupt sheriff. Will these women succeed in their attempts to put this man to justice?

Sheriff O'Neill has been weaving a web of corruption around the tiny town for years, making many enemies along the way. He is hated, but also feared. They know that the man is capable of almost anything. But what they don't know would most definitely hurt them.

Jennifer is one of O'Neill's deputies, and soon a victim of his evil. Jennifer's fiancé, Sean, had gathered evidence of O'Neill's practices and planned on going public with it. But Sean turns up murdered and the evidence is gone too. Jennifer naturally thinks that O'Neill destroyed the evidence. Strangely though, O'Neill is feverishly trying to get his hands on it himself.

Other stories of cruelty and greed accumulate as Jennifer meets more of O'Neill's victims. The past has not been kind to these women, and their experiences piece together with Jennifer's in unfortunate ways. Now all of them are trying to put an end to O'Neill in one way or another. Jennifer collects the evidence, but where does the evidence take her? Who else is guilty...and of what? And can she bring forth justice in her way before someone else does in their way? The conclusions are stunning, as Jennifer learns just how far deceit can go.
