Titanic Survivor: The Newly Discovered Memoirs of Violet Jessop Who Survived both the Titanic and Britannic Disasters based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
I bought this book to read a first had account of the actual sinking of the Titanic. It was very well told. I finished it in 3 days and came away with a sense of how strong and determined to survive Ms. Jessop was. It is a very vivid desription not only the actual sinking of the Titanic but of the Brittanic also, which in my opinion, was worse. I am glad the author took the time to get this lady's story in book form before she passed away. A must read for historic reading lovers.
This book is enthralling and a wonderful porthole into history--but only 2 chapters actually deal with Titanic! I happen to enjoy history, so I loved the book, but I feel the 'Titanic' in the title is more to garner purchases related to the Titanic hype. A great book for history, but for Titanic buffs, not so much.
