Oh, joy! A new Dale & Sully mystery! Dale Kinsall is a veterinarian who has a wonderful Beagle named Sully -- who happens to have a nose for trouble. Sully tracks ... and finds things ... often dead bodies. His owner, Dr. Dale, is much like his dog in that he tends to worry problems until he finds the answer. And that often leads to the two finding a murderer. In this novella, while Sully is being tested on his tracking ability, Dale finds himself and his new love interest, involved in Sully's 'find.' Delightful story, interesting characters, and the depiction of Sully and the pup's internal dialog is spot-on! (Yes, I know this is a Beagle, but believe me, he DOES have an internal dialog.) Doranna KNOWS dogs; I'm convinced that in a past life she was one. I highly recommend reading this and the first novel in the series, NOSE FOR TROUBLE. Can't wait for the release of the next novel in the series.
