Graeme Langford, Duke of Rothmore was a man on a quest to find The Stone of Destiny. Graeme had followed all the symbols, read all the books and chased down every lead that had him returning to the land of his birth Scotland. He may be half English but his heart and soul belonged in Scotland the land where history and myth are always intertwined as one. Vanessa Pembrooke is also on a mission to prove the validity of the Loch Ness legend and while heart break had to chasing this dream, the love of science and study of bones created the scenario where she had no regrets. I try not to have favorites in any series but this one is it for me. Graeme and Vanessa are strong characters that get inside you and won't let go. So what would happen if Graeme and Vanessa were to meet - well get married of course what else? It was a quick ceremony meant to save her life but in Scotland handfasting is still legally recognized and the two of them became one solid couple chasing down their dreams during the day and fulfilling desires every night. Love was elusive for both of them but could that be the road they are heading down? Where there is light in finding each other there has to be darkness and it takes the form of a terrible man known as The Raven who is trying to take the stone and destroy everything Graeme and his fellow Legend Hunters are trying to save. While Graeme and Vanessa search the caves, nooks and crannies looking for the treasure The Raven is creating havoc and using anything and everyone to get the goal he wants which is The Stone of Destiny and gain ultimate power of every land. Can the two of them stop him and in the end find what they are really searching for? Between the gunshots, dynamite exploding, cave collapsing, untrustworthy relatives mix in an alpha male and an independent woman you know the action never stops and the fun goes on from one page to the next. Vanessa tries hard to not love Graeme and he refuses to believe in long term relationships but how do you fight the passion they share and connection that bonds them so closely as one?

Redonk Nutshell: Intelligent and spirited woman gets tangled up with an adventurer on a quest to find a fabled treasure at Loch Ness The 3rd in Robyn DeHart's Legend Hunter series, Treasure Me is a fun, guilty pleasure of an adventure story between two very head strong leads. After discovering her fiance in the arms of her youngest sister, Vanessa Pembrooke decides to indulge herself with a trip to the Scottish Highlands in order to pursue her dreams of paleontology. On her way there she crosses paths with Graeme Langford, a man who steps in as her rescuer when randy burly-men start harassing her in a pub. Graeme poses as her fiance, and when dared to prove it, he allows the pub inhabitants to perform an old-school Scottish binding ceremony. Unbeknownst to both Graeme and Vaness, the binding ceremony, though not acknowledged by English law, is official by Scottish law. Thus, Graeme is committed to putting things back to rights once they're out of harm's way. Vanessa, however, has different plans. I really enjoyed DeHart's first Legend Hunter book, Seduce Me. Treasure Me has a similar tone, a girly sort of Indiana Jones adventure involving danger, archaeology and intrigue. Vanessa is a breathe of fresh air, as far as heroines go. She's one of those people who are very intelligent and book-smart, but lack a bit of, er, world-smart. Ya know? Her take on the world is very clinical and detached, yet somehow down to earth. Graeme's presence forces her to re-examine her view on things. He's the fire to her Bunsen burner. *giggles* Graeme blows hot and cold for me. He's not necessarily an uber-alpha, which is nice, though he has no qualms about taking over the reins when he wants to. His younger brother on the other hand, lawd bless him, is a complete moron. Poor guy. Easily seduced by a venomous tongue, Graeme's younger brother goes from sweet boy to villian in a predictable and shallow plot "twist." Treasure Me is a fun read, a great quickie to pass a dreary day. It's adventure meets sensual awakening set against the lush backdrop of the Highlands. Treasure Me by Robyn DeHart, 384 pgs, 3/1/11 Rating: C Romance: 3/5 Raunch: 3/5

In 1881 Scottish Duke Graeme Langford relishes adventure as he hunts down legends. His current thirst is to locate a rumored ancient stone near Loch Ness that allegedly possesses great power. He must complete his mission before the foolish American who bought the abbey nearby begins a renovation project. Vanessa Pembrooke has come to Loch Ness to prove the legendary monster exists by finding fossilized proof. She and Graeme meet with both attracted over the fact that the other is a knowledge hunter. As they team up on their two quests, their attraction grows. However, neither anticipated an evil plan to find and misuse the stone by willing to murder anyone who gets in the way. The latest Men of Solomon Legend Hunters romantic thriller (see Desire Me and Seduce Me) is a fabulous tale that grips the audience from start to finish as if Indiana Jones was working Victorian Scotland. The story line is fun with the hunt for the powerful biblical era Stone of Destiny enhanced by the search for the Loch Ness monster. The romance between Graeme and Vanessa enhances a wonderful late nineteenth century adventure. Harriet Klausner
