About the Author

Louise Anderson-Smith is a novelist from Athens, Georgia. This is the second imprint from this author, whose stories are very real and true. In 1982, she received the best Playwright Award for her play "A Tricycle for Lil Jimmy". She often says her writing career began in sixth grade when she wrote a play entitled, "A Trip the the Bakery", based on a class field trip to Benson Bakery.

Louise returned to college at the age of 54, graduating from Clark Atlanta University with honors and a degree in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Film, Radio, and Television. In 2004, she teamed up with famed director, actress, Carol Mitchell-Leon to create a staged reading of her play, "Harvest Time" at the Jomandi Productions set in Atlanta, GA.

Carol and Louise joined forces with Louise's daughter to form Leading Role Productions. Carol would later serve as director of all theatrical productions written by Louise Anderson-Smith. Carol passed away in the midst of what was to become a major staging of the production. The "Harvest Time" project went forward and performances were dedicated to Carol. Since that time, Louise's first novel, "Li'l Boy Johnson" was published and the current book, "Two Shades of Color" is in pre-production phase for a feature film.
