I truely enjoyed reading this book. Alexis Morgan is a very talented writer. Seamus Fitzhugh is a hot Vampire and the last of his Clan. He is on a mission to get the people who are responsible for his half-sister's death. Seamus arrives at the Rafferty estate with vengence in his heart. The day he arrives he comes accross a dying woman and is compelled to saving her life. Seamus is a Vampire medic. Megan is the cousin of Joss (Raferty's wife). The woman is brought to the estate, and Seamus does his best to save her life. Megan was not traveling alone, she has a baby girl. Seamus found out what happened to Megan; she was poisioned. Seamus is a family man and is compelled to keeping Megan and her lovely baby safe. Coming to the Estate that faithful night has totally started some new ways of thinking and feeling. You have to read this book.....It is really intriguing!!!! This book had me hooked from the beginning to the end. You will laugh, cry, and be held captive by the well written story. I will definately read this book more than one time!!!

It could have been better. I am not sure if it was the way the plot developed or her style but it was almost impossible to become invested in the characters. All the interesting aspects were rushed through instead of fleshing it out, it was dissapointing. It isn't just the plot but the delivery that matters. Characters were flat, action limited, and dialog stiff. Wouldn't recommend it

While grieving for the death of his half-sister as well as the rest of his clan, vampire medic Seamus Fitzhugh vows vengeance on those who he holds culpable. Obsessed with killing her predator, he treks to the estate of his enemy vampire clan chieftain Rafferty O'Day. However, upon arrival Seamus comes across a dying woman. Putting aside his deadly fixation, he applies his medical technician education to rescue hybrid Megan Perez from poisoning. Megan is the cousin of Rafferty's wife, Joss. As such, Rafferty hires Seamus to serve as a medic. Seamus keeps the half-breed Megan safe from her child's father who plots to kill her and snatch their offspring. Becoming the Vampire's Desire as he falls in love while investigating his adversary, Seamus learns an inconvenient truth. The Morgan mythos that is the prime backbone to the great Vampire Vendetta is the food chain in which purebred vampires reside on the top rung followed by enforcer hybrids and under them humans. That paranormal world is cleverly and plausibly constructed within the entertaining urban fantasy story line. The cast is solid either enhancing the understanding of what motivates the lead couple or the wonderful world of Alexis Morgan. Harriet Klausner
