Cliff Mass has done a fabulous job of demystifying the PacNW weather - and is the first weather forecaster ever to confess how inexact his science really is. Beautiful photos throughout, and not too much technical jargon.

I took a skim through this book several times and was really fascinated how our weather here in the Northwest shapes our lives and who we are and how we dress. I rated the usefullness of this book with one star only because unless if your studying to be a meteorologist then this book might not be as useful to buy and keep. Unless if your a die hard northwest weather fanatic amongst other things.

An excellent and easy to understand book on the Pacific Northwest's weather. It is factual, historical and humorous at times. Great graphs and charts. If you're a native of the PNW, you'll remember some of these storms and enjoy the facts on how it formed and the results. A really great book for students, naturalists, and anyone who wants to understand our weather.
