What Love Is

What Love Is

4.8 5
by Erin Boheme
Wisconsin native Erin Boheme was only 18 when she found herself recording for the house that Carl Jefferson built: Concord Jazz. Some people who heard What Love Is, Boheme's debut album, questioned whether or not it belonged on a jazz-oriented label; truth be told, this 2006 release has as much to do with jazzy pop as it does

You should take the time to hear this voice. "One Night with Frank" is a fantastic salute to Ol' Blue Eyes and "I Love Being Here with You" and "Don't Be Something You Ain't" and "Someone to Love" are also particular favorites. It's been a long, long wait for her second recording, but it's just a week a way now. .... a patient, but devoted listener from Wausau, WI.

What a beautiful cd this is! Erin Boheme sings so beautifully, with her smooth jazzy voice. Tons of fun to listen to! My favorite song is "One Night With Frank!" :)

Hard to beleive a 19 year old can emote such waves of love, (unrequited/otherwise) hope (Don't br Something You Ain't), fun, lust and thoughtful expression. We look forward to her next effort.

This is a vocal, contemporary jazz album, but it blew me away. Erin's voice is incredible and the fact she has a song about Frank Sinatra on her album is inspiring. The CD is both soothing and uplifiting from start to finish, great vocal talent.
