I loved Beneath the Glitter but I could tell, from the first page, that it needed work. That work has been put into Where Beauty Lies. Summory: The story centers around Sophia and Ava London. They have succesfully launched their makeup line and are now heading to New York City for NYC Fashion Week, having been offered a place by a Contessa. Their lives are not easy, but they are fun. Sophia's finally dating Hunter, but she can't keep her mind off of Giovanni. Ava's still with Liam, who is overseas working on a movie, but he won't have a conversation with her long enough for Ava to break up with him. And Ava is still thinking about Dalton. Then their designs are stolen. Ava and Sophia need to figure out who's behind it before they're kicked out of Fashion Week. Review: Elle and Blair's writing has been polished off nicely and they finally figured out how to structure their sentences. The characters are well-developed (at least Ava, Sophia, Lily, Hunter, Whitney, and Giovanni are). The plot moves along nicely and there's a huge twist at the end that I did not see coming. All in all, a fun, quick, easy summer read. I recommend this to fans of Elle and Blair's videos, Beneath the Glitter, and Lauren Conrad's books. Definitely pick this up if you like the thibgs listed above or just want a fun summer read. 4/5 stars. 75%/100%.
