The research done on this book was excellent. It is very evident that the author wanted to give us the historical facts, with no bias, while still making it exciting and interesting reading and he has succeeded! His lavish use of pictures throughout the book also goes a long way towards keeping the interest level high. The majority of these pictures, I am sure, have not been published anywhere else. This book has given me an insight into a piece of twentieth-century military history that unfolded while I was still a young child, and about which I have not been able to find out very much in the past. It has definitely filled that gap.
