This collects the four issues of Wolverine's original miniseries, written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Frank Miller. It concludes with two issues of Uncanny X-Men. Wolverine travels to Japan to find Mariko is unhappily married. Lord Shingen has returned from the dead and wished Wolverine would die instead. Featuring Lady Deathstrike, Viper, Silver Samurai, and the X-Men.

This is the big one .. Claremont & Miller ... this was Marvel's first mini series released in the 80s and still one of the best. This story fleshed out Wolverine in ways not expected and changed his character from then on... Wolverine no longer just a psycho killer ... from here on he was a samurai with honor
