I came across the free version of this book on Amazon and fell in love with it. I was very frustrated to find that there were no images included however. Key illustrations and drawings were missing, which rendered a large portion of the book useless.

This version includes all of the original drawings, garden design sketches and photographs. I've also added over a dozen new color photos, updated the tables for better rendering on small screens, and added annotations and additional content.

This book teaches about gardening by telling a story. The story chronicles gardening troubles and successes that were encountered by a group of boys and girls in 1911.

It's a wonderful resource and reference book for beginner and intermediate gardeners. It explains soil amendments, vegetable gardens, flower gardens, indoor gardening and much more.
