Although this 1899 book starts quietly, inside are schoolgirls, lesbians, spanking (flagellation!), dildos, strap-ons, incest, near-blasphemy and crossdressing. Yikes!
Maybe those Victorians weren't so "staid" after all!
Blanche, who's just moved to a Paris finishing school, writes 6 letters to Ethel, still at their old school in England. As the book ends, Blanche is about to vacation in England, to show Edith all the things she's written her about.
