He's an Academy Award winner directed many box office hits. Some of those he's most known for include: E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Back to the Future and The Color Purple, just to name a few. 1994 was a great year for expanding his success by co-founding the Dreamworks SKG studio. He made millions in 2005 when he sold this studio to Paramount Pictures.
