Amanda Bright grew up in Michigan with her mother, father and 2 older brothers until she was 13, until her mother and she moved to Groton, Connecticut. During high school, she fell in love with humanitarianism and tried to save the world, one poster at a time. Amanda found herself going to Salem, Massachusetts for college at Salem State University being drawn to the rich history and the captivating culture. She’s changed her major a few times, starting out as Secondary Education, then on to English, before taking an introductory Psychology course. That one class changed her life and she immediately switched into a Psychology major and English minor. Amanda’s dream is to become a writer, both fiction and non-fiction, and in the mean time she’s still trying to save the world. She’s a senior this year and next year hopes to attend graduate school to become a Clinical Social Worker to work with children and adolescents in a therapy setting. Right now, Amanda lives in downtown Salem, MA in a little studio with her cranky cat Lucy and hope in her heart for the future.
