I was raised on a small farm in Buchanan, Michigan. Having a Dad who was a machinist for Clark Equipment Company, I took an early interest in anything mechanical; As a hyperactive child with an extreme curiosity of how things worked, I learned a very diverse set of skills.
Aside from lathes, drill presses and end mills, I learned how to repair out tractor, truck and ears. I quickly learned how to weld, do electrical installations and repairs, electronics and refrigeration.
Hobbies and fun things were swimming, scuba diving, toy models, archery, hiking, camping, boating, and going to the zoo, museums and a planetarium in Chicago -- the big city.
My Irish and German heritage provided fertile lore of wee leprechauns, sprites, elves, fairies, dwarfs, and dragons. The love of science fiction and fantasy through books and movies spurred an interest in other worlds and potential aliens one could encounter. The Roswell UFO crash took place months after I was born, a fact that may have caused more interest in aliens for me.
While I loved the farm life, at sixteen years of age, I was more than ready to leave it for Tucson, Arizona with my parents. I attended high school there and eventually received an Associate of Arts Degree from Central Arizona College.
After a career in electrical and refrigeration fields, I started my writing endeavors with the Dragon's Lore Chronicles which features Dragon's Heart Crystal, Dragon's Heart Twins, and Dragon's Heart Prophecy. And of course, I had to write science fiction series to go with the adventures of my wee elves. The Gossamer Nebula expected nothing less of me. I hope you enjoy my characters and their adventures stories.
