Understanding Tithes & Offerings

The subject of tithe; how, when and where to tithe has been a heated debate for many generations in the body of Christ. Opinions are as varied as one can imagine. Different generations and different denominations understand the covenant of tithes and tithing differently. Even where and when the understanding is uniform, the practice of tithing is done differently from one church to another. However, one thing is clear from the scriptures; tithing gives the “tither” access to heavenly supply.
The Bible says: Bring ye all tithes to the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, saith the lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. And all the nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the lord of hosts. (Malachi 3:10 – 12)

Tithing is a mystery in the body of Christ. It is a mystery that connects the believer with a supernatural supply. Tithing connects the “tither” with an unlimited heavenly supply which The Bible refers to as “the windows of heaven.”

The aim of this book is to try to shed some light on this important mystery which is extremely relevant in our walk with God. This book will try to educate and inspire the reader to be a committed “tither” based on the knowledge of the Word of God and not hearsay or false doctrine peddled by some people.
