CHAPTER ONE
"DAN JUST WALKED OUT"

"Dan just walked out," "Dan just walked out," Angela repeated over. Anyone close to their family will quickly that, this type of situation translated only into the deepest emotional cry and anguish. Matters of the heart may appear simple but it is just as complex, indeed very complex. I have many stories relate to this point but I will not wish digress from the serious issue at hand. So, permit me to tell you the objective of such a phone call.


Angela worked as a manager and co-founder of a steady flourishing food business she started with her mother. Dan was a Wall Street speculator. Somehow, their choice of career mirrors their real-life encounters. While Angela prefers to place her money in the typical cycle of demand and supply, Dan was risky and enjoyed speculating with portfolio-money in his custody. When it is big, it is real big and when it hits low, Angela was there to comfort and re-energize him.
Since attending the end-of-year party and mixing with other risk-takers, his account was always drained and their joint cards suffered.
That was the position. For the sake of the children, Angela was willing to take an unusual risk. That is, continued to prop-up the marriage until he appreciates the essence of his family. After heartening her into a romantic dinner, he packed his suitcases and walked out of the house.
Most merciful God, who is like you in the heavens or below? You are the Lord our SHEPERD, who protects directs and leads those that trust in Him.

Angela wanted Dan to return to her. She was desperate. To an outsider it appeared as if she desired an urgent infusion of the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ in her troubled spirit and family restoration. Our reasons for demanding something or that a certain thing be done in a particular manner is the subjective reasoning. It does not aligns with what or how other may view it.

The children were crying for answers as well. None could understand the rationale of Dan's walk out on his family without any obvious provocation or obvious reason. Permit me to use the analogy of when you drive through the restaurant's drive-way, you expect to be asked your order, today. Let us assume that the staff serving you begin to tell you a history of the restaurant, how it was built, why it was situated on that plot, you will demand your money and prepare to drive away quickly. It will be such an exciting news because it is way out of what you want. The goal of driving through the fast food area was to get the fastest meal to satisfy an urgent desire which eliminates all other aspects.
Angela decided to begin by visiting all his known hangouts, work place and within two days she got results. Dan was not even hiding but in plain sight. He had moved in with a young beautiful attorney.
This lady also was from a powerful and old-money family. Everything was stacked against her in this issue.

The pathetic failure of marriage turns the children, pets into bargaining commodities. Emotions are bruised in the ensuring battle yet God has resolved the worst of cases. We decided to approach God with the facts of this case in prayers, supplications believing that there is answer for all anxieties, cares and worries.

In this type of complex matter you want to ask for direction first. This is very critical. Asking the Lord for the way is actually the way. Remember what our Lord Jesus said about the way.
