You got it all wrong! If anyone’s taught Genesis about stealing guys, it was her best friends, The Terribles–CJ and Tasha!

You don’t know the real story. It’s not what you think. Just read my side of it, and then decide. Okay?

Confessions of a Boyfriend Stealer-Blog by Genesis Bell
Behind the Confessional Curtain
[All About Me!]

Birthday: June 8-Gemini, the twins. I don't think I have a dual personality, unless one is keeping quiet.

Age: 16 1/2

Favorite food(s): Tacos, pizza, IHOP waffles, ice cream, M&M's, and KFC. I am a total health nut. Right.

Love: Means never tattooing a guy's name on your butt. (But if he wants to tattoo mine on his, I'm cool with it.) J

Favorite music: Alternative, emo, techno, rock, and rap. Some headbanger stuff. My tastes fluctuate with my moods. I don't often follow the trends. Currently love Headlock, Zara, and Dis. Mainstream like Missy Elliot and Ludacris. Getting a little interested in old stuff like Nirvana and Ozzy (loved his documentary too).

Favorite graffiti: I saw this in a bathroom once and it stuck in my head. It's so classy (not). Everywhere I am, all eyes are on me, I guess that's why it's so hard for me to pee.

Favorite movie: The Blair Witch Project, Scream (1 & 2), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the TV version was better, but the movie is funky).

Favorite TV: Documentaries (like Living in New York City, The Farmer's Wife, A Dog's World) and reality shows (like The Real World, The Bachelor, American Idol) and old stuff like The Brady Bunch.

Family life: Basically dysfunctional. Some would say borderline trailer trash, but never to my mother's face!

Worst moment: What happened about two months ago!

Best moment: What happened about two months ago (I'm not trying to be cute or mystical, I swear)! You'll see.

Pets: I wish. When I'm running my own life, I'll have a dog or two or ten.

Favorite color: Purple.

Dream: To finally, finally kick CJ's ass . . . I'm kidding. To produce totally awesome but original television, particularly reality shows and documentaries.

Philosophy: No one here gets out alive. (Jim Morrison, the Doors)

Confessions of a Boyfriend Stealer-Blog by Genesis Bell
[1st Entry]

I just found out that CJ Thompson, my ex-best friend, is going to write a blog, and more important, she is going to use it to totally and completely trash me. (Several people came up to me in school to warn me about CJ's plans.) I know she'll be cranking out megalies and megacrap about what happened two months ago. No one's more bloodthirsty than Miss Anorexica when she's on the warpath.

But that's her. I won't stoop to her level, no matter how tempting (or easy) it would be!

I've got to tell my side, or people might actually believe my ex-best friend's lies. I guess I'd better tell the whole story, background info and all.
See, my problem really was that I was just too vanilla nice. You would know me back then if you saw me. I was the cute-enough girl (cute, but not so cute as to be a threat to you or your friends). Think Jan Brady (hissandpop.com/celebrities/p/eveplumb) from The Brady Bunch but without the annoying personality and the whiny voice.

I was so Miss Supersupportive. I was the one who soothed CJ and Tasha during their "fat" moments (they're both twigs). I was the one who carried a spare tube of cover-up in my purse for their hickey emergencies. I was the one who comforted their male love slaves when things got too emotional and messy and CJ and Tasha didn't want to be bothered.

Don't think I'm some saint, though. After hearing my story, you'll realize that martyrdom is so not me.

I did it all because Tasha Dombrowski, CJ Thompson, and I were best friends. Just to be clear, we were not into modern-day chick bonding stuff. We didn't hug and cry. We didn't say we loved (or luved) each other. We didn't expect a lot of Oprah moments from our friendship.
We called ourselves the Terrible Three, which we eventually shortened to just the Terribles. If CJ or Tasha wanted a guy, she got him, no regrets, no remorse. I aided and abetted (yeah, yeah, I know. I was the Jan Brady Terrible, but I was still a Terrible). I defended CJ and Tasha, claiming it wasn't their fault that they were irresistible to every guy on the planet. I was always on rumor patrol, which meant trying to kill all gossip about the other Terribles (like the perpetual stories about CJ's being pregnant or Tash's having an STD).

We ruled. We weren't like the other kids. We were above it all. We were so beyond Jamaica Plains High.

Okay, so they got all the boyfriends while I watched from the sidelines, but it didn't bother me.

CJ and Tasha said I was a late bloomer when it came to guys and that maybe I'd attract them when I was older, like after high school. Some girls were just born with that late-bloomer gene, they said. I thought they were right-that I'd have to wait till later for the good stuff.

As it turned out, we were all three wrong.

CJ, Tasha, and I always swore that we'd be tight for life. It seemed believable for a long while.

At least to me.

Did anyone else read it? (:-o I wonder if genesis really stole her friends' men, or if the title is just a joke. i'm a sophomore at redwood high, so I don't know anyone at Jamaica plains, but I know girls like CJ and Tasha who think they are so hot. Ugh. >:-p
