How do I access my shopping cart?

You can view the contents of your shopping cart by clicking on the Cart icon at the top right of your screen. If your cart is empty, you'll get a message telling you so.

How do I take books out of my shopping cart?

To remove a book, go to your shopping cart and click "Remove Item," then "Update Your Cart." To simply edit the quantity of a book, highlight and change the number in the Quantity box. Remember to save your changes by clicking the "Update Your Cart" button.

Do I have to buy a book once I put it in my shopping cart?

No. You can edit your shopping cart contents at any time before you submit your order. However, once you hit the submit button, your order is final and cannot be changed.

I have a coupon...how do I redeem it?

If you have received a promotional coupon, you will be asked to enter it during the checkout process. Please enter your code in the given coupon field.

If I make a mistake, how do I cancel my order?

Once your order has been accepted and scheduled to ship there are limited modifications that you can make to your order. Items that are listed as available to ship in 24 hours or 2–3 days can not be canceled once the order has been scheduled to ship. To view an order to determine if any of the items can be canceled, click "Order Status" in the upper-right-hand corner of the page. If you placed your order by phone with a Customer Service representative, it will not appear on the Order Status page. To have us adjust your order, please call at 1-800-THE-BOOK (1-800-843-2665) Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-11 p.m. ET, or Saturday-Sunday (and Holidays) 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. ET. How do I return a book I don't want?

Returns are accepted within 14 days of the date that you received your order. Books can be mailed with the original packing slip to:

Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?

Can I get a sample copy of a particular book?

We cannot supply sample or desk copies. However, we do have extensive summary information, TOCs, reviews, and other information, located on a given book's product page. If you have any further questions, please contact us.
