Roberto Bolaño's Last Masterpiece
In this posthumously published epic, Roberto Bolaño builds a fictional universe out of the enigma of a brutal real-world tragedy.
Surpassing The Savage Detectives in its ambition and scope, 2666 is a masterpiece from a writer whose life was cut short at the peak of his powers.

Poetry
It is no accident that the protagonists of Roberto Bolaño's 1998 novel The Savage Detectives were driven by their obsession with poetry. Bolaño began his literary career as a poet, founding a minor movement known as infrarrealismo (infra-realism). This bilingual anthology introduces Bolaño's anglophone readership to his poetry, collecting forty-four poems that were written between 1980 and 1998.
